Hi. I’m Mersini, welcome to my little slice of the world!
I call London home and have done for several years now, I am born and bred in South Africa and have Greek and Cypriot blood running through my veins.
During the day I fight over teaspoons and coffee (read am an event manager) and by night I type away at my laptop. Unfortunately no superpowers here. In the time I have left I am attempting to complete my psychology degree but my true love in life is travelling, don’t tell my boyfriend that.
I created this blog through my frustrations. I’m stuck in a job that at best of times I only dislike slightly (a bit dramatic, I know but you will soon learn that I can be). I use the word stuck very loosely as it is a job I have chosen and keep choosing, for the pure reason that I’m good at it and comfortable.
Here is where this blog comes in, I’m tired of comfortable! But I’m also allergic to change, so my balance, for now, is to travel lots and little.
Of course, I would love to be that cliche (nothing against those people, if anything I’m jealous of them) saying I quit a fancy corporate job, earning 6 figures to chase my dream of travel. However, I’m nowhere near earning that much money, as hospitality pays terribly and am nowhere near brave enough to do that yet.
The blog is all about my personal travels, I give you my perspective and tips on what to do and especially what not to do. My travel mostly consists of long weekends with one long holiday in a year. I have learned a lot from all these little breaks and I can help make it easier for you too. Currently, I have visited 69 cities (probably more, it’s hard to count) in 27 countries across 3 continents.
Finally, head over to my contact page here.I would love to hear from you!
